Nunez Industries LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Kanshaki mobile application (the "App") and the Kanshaki website (the "Website"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App and Website.

2. Website Information Collection

The Kanshaki website (kanshaki.com) is a static website that does not collect, store, or process any personal data. Specifically:

  • No Cookies: The website does not use cookies or any tracking technologies.
  • No Analytics: We do not use analytics services, tracking pixels, or any third-party data collection services on the website.
  • No Forms or Data Collection: The website does not contain forms that collect personal information. Contact is only available through email links.
  • No Server-Side Processing: The website is static and does not process any data on our servers.
  • External Links: The website contains links to external sites (Instagram, App Store). These links do not transmit any data to us when clicked, and any data collection by those external sites is governed by their respective privacy policies.

3. App Information We Collect

Kanshaki is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:

  • Journal Entries: All gratitude journal entries are stored locally on your device using Core Data. We do not have access to your entries.
  • Notification Preferences: If you choose to enable daily reminders, the App stores your notification preferences (enabled/disabled status and reminder time) locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
  • No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information, usage analytics, or device identifiers.
  • No Third-Party Services: The App does not use analytics services, advertising networks, or other third-party data collection services.

4. Local Storage and Data Processing

All data entered into Kanshaki, including your journal entries, prompts, dates, and notification preferences, is stored exclusively on your device using iOS Core Data and UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to back it up through iCloud (which is managed by Apple, not by us).

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR): Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not access, collect, or process your personal data on our servers, the processing of your data is based on your explicit consent and the performance of the contract (providing the App's functionality). You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the App or disabling notifications in the App settings.

5. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your information depends on your device's security settings. We recommend using a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID to protect your device.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access: You can view all your entries and data within the App at any time.
  • Right to Rectification: You can edit or correct any of your journal entries directly within the App.
  • Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can delete individual entries at any time, or uninstall the App to remove all data from your device.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can manually copy your entries if you wish to export them to another service or format.
  • Right to Object: You can object to the processing of your data by disabling notifications or uninstalling the App.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can restrict processing by disabling notifications or deleting specific entries.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time by disabling notifications in the App settings or uninstalling the App.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device for as long as you use the App. If you delete an entry, it is immediately removed from your device. If you uninstall the App, all data stored by the App is deleted from your device. We do not retain any copies of your data as we do not have access to it.

8. Automated Decision Making

Kanshaki does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects you.

9. Children's Privacy

Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not transfer your data to any servers or third parties, there are no international data transfers to disclose. If you choose to back up your data through iCloud, that service is provided by Apple and is subject to Apple's privacy policy.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
